Join us for the 3rd annual Raptor Run 5k!

Get active and join us for our annual Raptor Run 5K! This morning 5K will take place on the beautiful park trails of Shawnee Prairie Preserve.

Run or walk through pristine prairies, under woodland canopies, and around wetland wildlife. Pass by iconic locations at Shawnee Prairie like the Sugar Shack, Log House, and Blacksmith Shop before returning to the finish line near the Nature Center. All proceeds will benefit the raptor education program here at the Darke County Parks. Registration includes the option to purchase a custom T-shirt!

Day Of Event Registration will be available CASH or CHECK only. Please arrive by 8am for day-of registration.

Registrations completed after September 24th will not receive an event T-shirt.

The 5K run/walk will begin at 9am and may be completed at your own pace. The route will utilize the trails in and around Shawnee Prairie and most will be natural turf/terrain (unpaved). There may be muddy sections depending on the season.

Refund Policy

Raptor Run 5K is held rain or shine. We understand "life happens" although we can not offer refunds due to the prior preparations/purchases that must be made well in advance of the event. If you are unsure whether you will be able to make the event - we can make arrangements to hold your swag bag so that you can pick them up at a later date.
